Gift of Dreams, Visions, and Interpretation of Dreams Part 1 of 3

Gift of Dreams, Visions, and Interpretation of Dreams Part 1

Sprinkled throughout the Scriptures are accounts of people having dreams. The more I study the scriptures the more I see patterns. God has, does, and will continue to send dreams & visions to communicate with his children.

Some dreams are to:

Warn and or protect

Instructional/teach us more about the true nature of God and about ourselves.

Prophetic

“Dreams may offer insight & foresight into decisions or actions that should be made. Dreams can be a vehicle for revelation. God revealing things to an individual or a group of people”

Here’s just a FEW examples as found in the Scriptures.

Joseph (of Egypt- Jacob’s son) having dreams and sharing them with his brothers. See the full account Gen 37:5-6 prophetic

Jehovah warning Joseph in a dream to take Mary and the child to Egypt and then after Herod had died sent an Angel via dream to Joseph to let him know it was safe to come back. Matt 2:13- warning/protecting dream

Lehi being commanded of the Lord via dream to take his family and depart into the wilderness. 1 Nephi 2:2- warning/protecting dream

Pontius Pilate’s wife: When Jesus stands at trial with her husband Pontius Pilate, she  warns Pilate against having anything to do with him, because she knows of his innocence Matt 27:9. She was taught/informed about the true nature of Yeshua.

Remember-dreams often employ symbolism to teach a lesson, revealing elements of the future, or help us discover more about God and or more about ourselves.

*Remember that God is NO respecter of persons, and gives to ALL men (and women) liberally.  The opposite is true as well.*

For every Gift of God there is a counterfeit of the Adversary

Here are some accounts of “false dreams”-

Jerimiah 23:32  Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

Zachariah 10:2  For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.

Deut 13:1-3 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Ecc 5:7 7 For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou God.

On a personal note-Since my Baptism by Fire/Being Born Again- BEing a “New Creature in Christ” I was given the gift of dreams. My whole life I have been able to dream and wake up and remember my dreams. Before this time I didn’t like going to sleep because I felt like I couldn’t escape the waking world. I would dream about whatever I was doing in my life at the time. Whether it was school or work and couldn’t do anything right or I would take forever doing something. Sound familiar? However my dreams shifted/changed right around the time I had my baptism by fire. For the next decade of my life I was taught in many “learning dreams” as I would later call them. Meaning- where I knew I was being taught Spirit to Spirit. Going through all these situations, experiences, and being tested and being taught prepared me.

Then- after my CEMS (see 2 Peter chpt 1) the dreams/visions shifted and I was spending a lot of time teaching and testifying in dreams. Being with the Lord, with Angels, occasionally hearing Father's voice. Learning to use the gifts of God on my future mission. Healings, casting out evil, control of the elements, travel by thought, flying and rescuing people. All this done in the night time.

I have been a very logical/literal person, and at the time of these dreams didn’t see the symbolic nature to them. Wrote down many of these “learning dreams”. Now years later as I am guided to look up these dreams, I see another layer to them and see how the Lord had been preparing me all this time through all those things I had experienced during the night and given more clarity and meaning to the dreams. Some dreams came to pass years later. Think of Joseph of Egypt and the dreams from his youth.

So, what is the difference between dreams and visions? Stay tuned for part 2 where we will discuss more about accounts of Visions as found in the Scriptures and personal experiences.

I Have the Love of Jesus In My Heart!

Excerpt from July 20th, 2016
Primary Lesson from Sunday-

Many times I would see a friend of mine at my church and be asked the usual question- "How are you doing?"
My reply was- I have the Love of Jesus in my Heart!

Taught the kids the following song that I learned years ago from "VeggieTales"

I have the love of Jesus, love of Jesus,
Down in my heart, (where?)
Down in my heart, (where?)
Down in my heart,
I have the love of Jesus, love of Jesus,
Down in my heart, (where?)
Down in my heart to stay.

And I'm so happy, so very happy
I have the love of Jesus in my heart.
(down in my heart)
And I'm so happy, so very happy
I have the love of Jesus in my heart.
End of Excerpt.

Here is another hymn with information on the Author down below.

1 I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart;
I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart to stay.

2 I've got the peace that passeth understanding,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart;
I've got the peace that passeth understanding,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart to stay.

3 I've got the love of Jesus, love of Jesus,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart;
I've got the love of Jesus, love of Jesus,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart to stay.

4 For there is therefore now no condemnation,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart;
For there is therefore now no condemnation,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart to stay.

A Psalm

Woke up this morning and desired to praise and worship God while praying. This psalm came back into my mind and I looked it up and spoke these words. If you find worth and value in them, then adopt them as your own (like I just did) and use them in your own prayers of praise and worship.

To all who will lift their eye to your throne,
You inundate the universe with knowledge,
Like waves crashing against the shore,
At once chaotic and rhythmic, cascading in a slew of ideas and implications.
Your knowledge is endless, a constant spring pouring forth in the minds and hearts of all to the degree they turn to you.
Your light and knowledge are in all things and through all things. We cannot stem the flow, only rob ourself of the benefit through our inattention or disobedience.
Your word is an ever present sword, progressively developing our discernment of good and evil, increasing the detail of our perception of reality, showing ever-increasingly things as they really are, what improvement is, and what leads to it, and what detracts from it.
You will give to anyone who seeks more happiness, more understanding of what it is and what it is not, how you are, and why we should be like you.
You are overflowing with wisdom and love and patience and forgiveness.
Let all creation worship you,
Let all glory be upon your head forever and ever,
For you alone are worthy of it. Amen.

Right place, right time

Goal is to finish up a bunch of "draft posts" and publish them. This one was started on Tues 7/26/22

"Still a little shook up from what I saw/experience this morning. A bunch of little decisions added up- putting me at the right place at the right time.

Took Grace (my youngest child) with me in our mini van to drive the 3 miles to the car mechanic shop to drop off our car title and pick up $ for the car we no longer used and sold. (Before my husband went to work he asked about signing the title. Had he not ask, I would have totally forgotten to have him do that and I would have not have taken the title at that time.) There was traffic backed up due to a car waiting to turn left onto a side road. It just turned and traffic ahead of me was moving up the hill once again. I was in the now, paying attention -I noticed a dog pacing back and forth and had a quick thought- Dog might jump out of the truck bed ahead of me. Then thought of if he does- stop my car and put on flashers to get the dog even though that road is very dangerous and no room to pull over since no side. I would quickly put my van in park and run and grab the dog and put him in my van and follow the truck to where they were going and reunite them with their dog. Those were my thoughts. Then a split second later I saw the dog jump out. However, to my shock, and horror- he was attached to a long leash and the leash was anchored to the truck. I started honking lots of short repetitious honks and then longer honks, as the dog was trying to keep up with the truck and I was so concerned he was going to be dragged to his death. (Thankfully the leash was long enough so it wasn't strangling him and he was able to touch the ground and walk and then trot, then began to run to keep up while  the truck) Also so grateful for a horn that works and able to get their attention.)

After a little bit not only did the truck slow down but she stopped. The Lady and her son came out, unleashed the dog put the dog in the cab and then took the tailgate down and saw another beautiful dog and they unleashed him and also put him in the back of the cab. Meanwhile I had already stopped my car and  had the flashers on.

I'm grateful that the car behind me was paying attention and that it didn't cause a car accident. Traffic behind us was already backed up. This happened on a curve so cars 2+ deep behind us didn't know what was going on.  They probably figured there was a car accident or something. There was no horn honking (besides mine to get drivers attention) or impatience.  So grateful that they (people infront of me with the 2 dogs) were able to safely get dogs secured in their truck .  I prayed a prayer of gratitude." end of draft version

That morning I was very aware of my surroundings, in the moment and I believe that allowed me to pay attention and be used to help those that needed help. In this case, a very beautiful dog and his owners.

I also realize that "forgetting" to take the title in a day or two before wasn't a bad or neglectful thing. Sometimes I am hard on myself for not doing xyz, or not being on top of everything. I realize now how many things go unseen and our Lord God is a master of organizing everything . He can use us if we just let go and trust in him.

May we allow the Lord to have us be his helpers, earthly angels, answered prayers, sunbeams, light bugs, the list could go on and on.

Have a joyful day IN the Lord!

Ps- I had no judgment for them. I don't know why they had them leashed in the back, maybe to keep them in the truck however the dog still jumped out. But because of this incident I had a distinct impression that from now on they would have those dogs in a more secure location such as in the cab of the truck.

This was their Wakeup Call.

Tender mercy of the Lord to spare their dog and I'm grateful that he used me to help in that.

The Real Deal

Once a help becomes a hinder

The Chosen, so excited for season 2!!!

Thought upon waking up one morning. Instead of waiting for that and checking the Facebook website for updates all the time, why not check in with the Lord directly???

All about intimacy and relationship. He can and will show me his life. Get it all directly from him. Skip the mortal hands....scriptures that talk about not leaning on the arms of flesh also popped into my mind.

This has been in draft form since October.

I looked into all my drafts, yes I have a bunch and saw this one.

After posting the Lion of Judah it came to my mind I was to share a third post tonight.

Sometimes, ok alot of time for me I start something and don't complete it. Lots of unfinished projects, sound familiar?

With this blog, I put it on hold- waiting for the Lord to give me something profound to share. However it is in the day to day things and doing what the Lord ask me to go and do that the words flow and the aid is given. I am witnessing that right now as I type this up.

I get easily distracted and get slothful. Recommitting to the Lord here and now.

Learning to really put my trust in my Lord and Savior. He will never leave me nor forsake me. I am his!

Hope you have a joyful day and or joyful night in the Lord. Until next time..

The Lion of Judah

The Lord is both the Lamb of God AND the Lion of Judah.
With his first coming, the people were expecting the Lion of Judah. They thought he was going to deliver them from the Romans. They weren't expecting the Lamb.

Now fast forward to today. Many Christians are expecting the Lamb. Phrases such as "God is so loving", "God is so merciful." Which God are those things but God is also a just God.

Our Lord is coming as the Lion!

I am back!!! A Life Lesson to Share with Others

This has been sitting as a draft for awhile now. Tonight a dear friend of mine asked if I finished my latest blog. I totally forgot about it. But that reminder is just what I needed. Happy reading.

After my experience this morning with the owner of "Lucky Plumbing" and sharing almost the same message as the Lord had me share with another individual Monday night. Knew I needed to stop what I was doing and post this to share with those that will be reading this.

Both individuals have the following things in common. Both are very independent, and physically active people. Used to being on their feet and go, go,go. Right now both  have found they are unable to continue to go at the same pace and do their "usual task/routine/job(s).

Lord brought to my mind in both times to share with them the following-

Years ago when I was pregnant with my Daughter Emma,( hard pregnancy on my body.) Last 3 months, were the toughest. My hips would constantly pop out of place. I had weekly chiropracter appointments where she would work on me, adjust my body and pop my hips back into place. Also at the same time sleep was not really possible for me. I usually slept on my sides or back. That 3 months of pregnancy it was  painful for me to lay down, (didn't have a recliner back then). I average 1 hour of sleep a night for 3 months. I should of been not able to function, and been sleep deprived. However looking back I see and know Angels were assigned to me and their strength was extended to me. Or rather, they actually kept me going. The prayers of my sweet BIshop and his wife and others brought that to pass.

Anyways to the heart of the story. Life Lesson I needed to learn the hard way.

When I actually could NOT continue my daily routine and be up and moving, it was such a hard thing for me. I had many talks with the Lord. I wanted to be productive. He told me, I still could, just in a different way. I would still be "active", productive just not the same way. My love language is acts of service. I go and physically do things.

My identity was with what I could do, felt like a part of myself was gone. Lord brought to my mind that my self worth, did NOT come from that, who I really was.

He let me know this was a resting time from my normal routine, I could still be useful and productive by using the phone and making phone calls and visiting with sisters over the phone instead of in person, write, journal. Look up things. There was so much I could still do. Much more with my mind and spirit then my physical body.

I let those 2 people know, now might be a time out/ resting period. Be still and let God show you a whole new way to live beyond what you are used to or accustomed to.

Beautiful message.

More to come soon.
